Brought to you by Castrol Classic oils, Castrol GTX Classic 10w/40 is a high quality mineral engine oil for vehicles from 1978 to 1993. Produced to original formulation as specified in motor manufacturers’ vehicle handbooks. Containing anti-wear and anti-corrosion additives to provide high levels of protection necessary for older technology vehicles.

Castrol GTX Classic protects classic engines against problems like sludge, helping to extend the life of your mechanicals. With GTX Classic in your engine, there’s a great road ahead.

Castrol GTX Classic 10w/40, the original ‘Liquid Engineering’ for younger and modern classics:

  • Mineral 10w/40, suitable for vehicles 1978 to 1993 where a 10w/40 oil is specified.
  • Period correct balanced additives for superior wear and corrosion protection, including ZDDP.  ZDDP, or zinc dialkyldithiophosphate, is an additive that acts as an anti-wear agent, forming a protective layer on metal surfaces to reduce friction and wear, especially during engine startup and under extreme conditions. 
  • Can be used in vehicles either with, or without a catalytic converter. 
  • Suitable for both naturally aspirated and turbo-charged vehicles. 
  • Original handbook recommendation for many vehicles. 
  • Supplied in original style, nostalgic, 5 litre can that will look great on the shelf after your oil change. (1.32 gallons).
